About Kehilla

Kehilla is the central directory and community hub for Jewish Los Angeles. It brings the things people ask about every single day — kosher restaurants and markets, shuls and minyan times, simchas and shiurim, local jobs, homes for rent and sale, and trusted services — into one calm, searchable place. Instead of scattering that information across group chats, flyers on a shul door, and half-remembered recommendations, Kehilla keeps it current, local, and easy to find on your phone.

Kehilla is built for the whole community. Families use it to find a caterer before a simcha, a mincha minyan near the office, or a camp for the summer. Newcomers use it to learn a neighborhood quickly and figure out where to daven, shop, and send their kids. Local business owners, shuls, and organizations get their own page, so they can post updates, hours, events, and specials directly to the people nearby who actually care about them — no ad budget, no algorithm to fight.

We are a small, community-rooted team in Los Angeles building Kehilla alongside the people who will use it. Every feature comes from conversations with neighbors, business owners, and rabbanim about what they wish existed. Kehilla is now live on the App Store and Google Play, and we are shaping the roadmap around what the community tells us they need most.
